  Mediation and Arbitration

Today clients often seek alternatives to litigation. This is motivated by the risk, delay, and expense inherent in traditional litigation as well as the disruptive effect that it has on normal business operations. The two forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) most often utilized are mediation and arbitration. Working in this context often requires different skills, experiences, and attitudes. Many of our lawyers have extensive experience representing clients in mediation and arbitration where they bring those attitudes to the table and have honed those skills.

In addition, we have lawyers who have served as mediators and arbitrators in a variety of disputes, including major damage, commercial, construction, health care, employment, and environmental matters. These lawyers share their experience with the firm, giving us valuable insights into the mediation and arbitration processes. This enables us to better serve our clients when we serve as counsel to parties in ADR proceedings and when we assist clients in strategic planning concerning ADR.
