He is a member of the Memphis (Chairman, Bankruptcy Section, 1985) and Tennessee (Chairman, Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Section, 1986) Bar Associations, and the American Bankruptcy Institute and Mid-South Commercial Law Institute (Director, 1989-Present). He currently serves as the Republican National Committeeman for Tennessee and is Chairman of the Redistricting Committee of the Republican National Committee. He has represented parties in redistricting case, election contests and other election law matters.
