JAMES R. NEWSOM III concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation practice in state and federal courts. His experience includes the representation of clients in business and commercial litigation, including contract disputes, copyright infringement, disputes arising from lending practices, and regulatory issues. He also engages in the representation of employee benefit plans. Mr. Newsom is certified by the Supreme Court of Tennessee Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission as a Rule 31 Mediator and is a Certified Mediator in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Tennessee.Mr. Newsom is a member of the Memphis, Tennessee and American Bar Associations. In law school he was the Associate Editor, Vanderbilt Law Review and in college a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
