BARBARA B. LAPIDES concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate, municipal corporations and corporate, estate planning and probate. She represents business entities and their principals in matters such as the acquisition and disposition of businesses and resolution of business disputes. Her experience in the real estate area includes the sale, purchase, financing, leasing and foreclosure of interests in real property, as well as representing clients seeking Payment in Lieu of taxes (PILOT) and other governmental incentive programs. She also represents several municipalities in the greater Memphis area.Ms. Lapides has held leadership positions in a variety of civic organizations, including Memphis Regional Planned Parenthood, Leadership Memphis, Mental Health Association and Theatre Memphis. She is a member of the Memphis and Tennessee Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Association of Women Attorneys and Tennessee Lawyer Association for Women. In law school she was the Articles Editor of Memphis State University Law Review.
